Rachel Basch's novel, The Passion of Reverend Nash, published by W.W. Norton, was named one of the best five novels of 2003 by Christian Science Monitor and received a starred review from Kirkus Reviews where it was labeled as "a compelling, smart, no-holds-barred story committed equally to verisimilitude and compassion."
Degrees of Love, Rachel's first novel, is available in paperback from HarperCollins. It was translated into Dutch and German and was a selection of the Hartford Courant's Book Club. Basch's nonfiction has appeared in Parenting magazine, and she has reviewed books for The Washington Post Book World. A dedicated teacher of creative writing for the past 20 years, Basch is a contributor to Now Write!: Fiction Writing Exercises From Today's Best Writers & Teachers.
