More then a Cemetery: A Lush Landscape Rich with Culture and History
Every city has its famous cemetery. Paris has Pere LaChaise where Frederic Chopin, Colette, Oscar Wilde, Edith Pilaf, and Jim Morrison (just to name a few) are buired. Los Angeles has Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills where Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Liberace, and Telly Savalas (buried with a lollipop) rest in peace. Hartford has Cedar Hill Cemetery, the final resting place, for Samuel Colt, J. P. Morgan, Wallace Stevens, and Katharine Hepburn. These cemeteries are not only resting places for cultural icons, but also visions in memorial architecture and landscape design. Hartford has Cedar Hill which offers notable tours throughout the year:
